Velseis can provide a range of recording systems, offering:

Velseis' 3D instrumentation includes a conventional Sercel 408 system and the VELCOM hybrid telemetry system. The latter is based on proven Sercel hardware, enhanced with a sophisticated software control system, providing an efficient observer interface, and a range of data QC options. Recording instruments are typically housed in modern, air-conditioned dog-boxes, but can also be configured for portable use.

Geophones

Velseis can provide a range of seismic detectors for land and marine reflection and refraction. Conventional 10Hz geophones are available for petroleum-scale surveys where frequency bandwidth up to 150 Hz is expected. For shallower, high-resolution surveys, bandwidth in excess of 300 Hz can be anticipated. In these situations Velseis recommends high-resolution 30Hz geophones, which provide superior high-frequency fidelity.

For other recording situations, Velseis can provide various hydrophone and marsh phone options, as well as a high-resolution 3-component capability.
